The one day you can’t reshoot

Your wedding goes by in a blur. Your film shouldn’t.

On the day, you’ll be in a hundred places at once. You won’t see your dad’s face when you walk in, or your friends crying at the back, or what your grandmother whispered during the speeches.

We will. We film the whole story, not just the poses: the nerves in the morning, the vows, every speech, the in-between moments nobody planned. Then we cut it like a short film, so a few minutes on your sofa takes you straight back to how it felt.

And because one team handles your photos and your film together, you get one plan, one set of faces on the day, and a gallery and a film that look like the same wedding.

How we work

Barely there, all day.

Three things couples say about us more than anything else.

You’ll forget we’re there

Documentary first. We work quietly from the edges, so your day stays yours and the moments stay real. A little direction only when it helps.

…so discreet as they worked, we almost didn’t notice them most of the day!

Friends, not vendors

A calm, fun team that settles the nerves in the morning and gets on with your family and guests. People notice the difference.

Having them around felt like having friends there rather than vendors.

Cut like cinema

Your film is edited like a short film, built around your vows, your speeches and music that fits you, so it feels like the day did.

Our wedding day truly felt like a movie because of Team MDA.

A story we hear a lot

Is a wedding film worth it?

It’s the question most couples ask before they book. Chloe answered it better than we could in her Google review.

On the day, she says, after a while they barely noticed the cameras. When the film arrived, it had captured exactly how it felt to be there. And out of everything they spent money on for their wedding, here’s where the film ended up:

…this has become our most treasured possession.

Is this you?

We’re a great fit if…

  • You want to remember how the day felt, not just what it looked like.
  • You’d rather enjoy your wedding than pose through it.
  • The speeches, your family and your friends matter as much as the dress and the venue.
  • You want photo and film from one team who work together.

…and probably not if

  • You want a crew directing every minute of your day.
  • You’re looking for the cheapest option available.
  • You’d prefer a film that’s all drone shots and details, with very few people in it.

Meet Mark

Film is where it all started.

Mark David Acoba founded MDA Productions as a filmmaker, and film is still at the heart of what we do. Over more than ten years, and dozens of weddings, he has built a Dublin-based team of six photographers and filmmakers.

We’ve grown through word of mouth: a friend’s wedding, a guest who asked who was filming. One couple told us that since their wedding, five of their friends have booked us. That’s the review we work for.

Questions

Good questions couples ask us.

We’re nervous in front of a camera. Is that a problem?

Not at all. It’s one of the most common things couples tell us. We film documentary-style, so most of the time you won’t notice us; couples regularly say in their reviews that they barely knew we were there. When a little direction helps, for portraits or a quiet moment together, we give it gently and keep it light.

Do we really need a wedding film?

You only get the day once, and it goes by in a blur. A film gives you back the things you missed: your guests’ faces during the vows, the speeches you half heard, your family on the dance floor. Photos show you how it looked. A film lets you hear it and feel it again. One couple wrote that, of everything they spent money on for their wedding, the film has become their most treasured possession.

How much does it cost?

Every wedding is different: how many hours, how many locations, photo, film or both, Ireland or abroad. So rather than a one-size price, we send our full pricelist with your date’s availability. Tell us your date and venue and we’ll come back to you personally.

What do we actually get?

Depending on your collection: a highlight film cut like a short film, your full edited photo gallery, and options such as a full ceremony and speeches edit, a one-minute social teaser, a same-day edit and a pre-wedding shoot. Your pricelist shows exactly what’s in each collection.

Do you travel?

Yes. We’re based in Dublin and film all over Ireland, North and South, and abroad: Tuscany, Lake Como, the Dolomites, Mallorca, Paris and London so far. Tell us where you’re getting married and we’ll include travel in your quote.

How do we book, and how far ahead?

Check your date, get your pricelist, have a chat with Mark, then a €350 deposit secures your date. Many couples book a year or more ahead, and 2027 and 2028 dates are already booking.
